Why not a cottage within the grounds of a private château this year?
Traditional longère built in the 1700s, the cottage is one of the few stone-built Loire properties for rent. Enjoy splendid tranquility without having to share the pool or other amenities, yet walk or cycle to local villages.  The cottage has a formal lavender garden and original outbuildings including a charming dovecote (pigeonnier), once used to send messages by carrier pigeon to and from the château.
         The château on 2,000 acres is home to the Marquise d'Andigné.
